SafeGuards LGBT Health Resource Center promotes the health of LGBT youth and adults through collaborative programs, research, and advocacy.

Drop-in testing services are available from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday-Friday, at  1700 Market Street, 18th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.  SMART4Life Testing Day is every Wednesday from 12 noon to Midnight at our mobile testing center, located at 13th and Locust Streets in Center City, Philadelphia.

ActionAIDS works in partnership with people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, providing a range of direct services to sustain and enhance their quality of life.

Attic Youth Center creates opportunities for LGBTQ youth to develop into healthy, independent, civic-minded adults within a safe and supportive community and promotes the acceptance of LGBTQ youth in society. BEBASHI provides culturally sensitive health related information, direct service, and technical assistance in the areas of sexual health and prevention of sexually transmitted disease to the urban community. CHOP Adolescent Clinic, Connect2Protect provides primary medical care and HIV specialty services for youth, case management, supportive services, mental health counseling, and HIV prevention services. COLOURS Organization provides health education, advocacy, and support services to LGBT people of color in the greater Philadelphia area. Dorothy Mann Center of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children The Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children became the Dorothy Mann Center (DMC) in 2010 to acknowledge both the Center’s increased scope in the battle against HIV/AIDS and Dorothy Mann’s ongoing contribution to that battle. The Program at St. Chris was founded in 1988 in response to the need to locate services for HIV positive women and their HIV positive children to receive medical and psychosocial support services at the same site. This model for “one stop shopping” was replicated nationally and supported with funding from the United States Department of Health and Human Services through the Ryan White CARE Act. Haven Youth Center The mission of Haven is to provide educational, social, and recreational services to HIV youth to support healthy, age-appropriate development and transition into adulthood. Haven will provide HIV youth with a recreational facility to decrease social isolation, improve self-concept/self-esteem, enhance communication skills, and encourage the development of healthy peer relationships among a population that may often feel stigmatized in other community settings. Philadelphia FIGHT/ Youth Health Empowerment Project (YHEP) In 1994, Y-HEP began as a citywide pilot project to reduce the spread of HIV and STDs among adolescents and young adults in the Philadelphia area. Today Y-HEP is a vibrant, multi-faceted, community-based health and leadership development program for Philadelphia youth. Annually, Y-HEP serves over 3,000 high-risk, hard to reach teens and young adults through a range of activities. Y-HEP is a program of Philadelphia FIGHT, a comprehensive AIDS service organization, providing primary care, consumer education, advocacy and research on potential treatments and vaccines.
